Accumulative chimney rings for fireplace inserts and stoves

LAC accumulative chimney rings are circular refractory castable modules designed to absorb heat from flue gases and gradually release it into the room.

They are intended for fireplace inserts and stoves with a top flue outlet and are suitable for installations with a deflector.

Key information
  • Maximum temperature: 1300 °C
  • Compressive strength: 105 MPa
  • Bulk density: 2.35 kg/dm³
  • Outer diameter: 340 mm
  • Height of each ring: 110 mm
  • Reduction rings available for flue pipe diameters of 150, 160, 180 and 200 mm
The rings are installed above the fireplace insert or stove. Heat from the flue gases is absorbed by the refractory material and gradually released after the combustion process has ended.

Installation and use

The rings can be used with fireplace inserts and stoves from different manufacturers, provided the appliance has a top flue outlet and the installation conditions allow their use.

Important installation information

The rings must not be exposed to direct heat from the combustion chamber. Before installation, verify with the fireplace insert or stove manufacturer whether the rings can be placed directly on the appliance or whether a separate self-supporting structure is required.

Recommended configuration

A complete set consists of a bottom reduction ring, at least two middle rings and a top reduction ring.

Recommended number of rings

The minimum configuration consists of four rings: one top reduction ring, two middle rings and one bottom reduction ring.

For greater heat accumulation, a set of 6–8 rings is typically used.

The rings are assembled dry, without mortar. Rope seals between the rings and around the flue pipe are available separately.

Technical specifications

All variants have an outer diameter of 340 mm and a height of 110 mm. The required reduction ring is selected according to the flue pipe diameter.
