Chamber Furnace PKE up to 1280 °C
Max temp: 1280 °C | Volume: 12.2–87 l | Voltage: 230–400 V
Chamber furnace for hardening, annealing and preheating up to 1280 °C
Need a high-temperature furnace for hardening, annealing, cementing or preheating of smaller manually handled charges?
The PKE chamber furnace up to 1280 °C is a compact version of the PK series, designed for heat treatment processes where compact dimensions, faster heat-up and reliable high-temperature operation are required.
- You need heat treatment up to 1280 °C
- You process small or medium-size charges handled manually
- You need a furnace for hardening, annealing, cementing or preheating
- You want faster heat-up than with larger chamber furnaces
- You need a compact furnace for laboratory, workshop or smaller industrial use
- You want optional equipment for temperature uniformity, cooling or protective atmosphere applications
Key features:
- Maximum temperature 1280 °C
- Recommended operating range 700–1200 °C
- Heating from three sides — two sides and bottom
- Exchangeable heating panels
- Manual downward-opening door
- Available chamber volumes from approx. 12 to 87 L
- Tabletop design for smaller models
- Standalone version for larger models
Typical applications
- Hardening
- Annealing
- Cementing / carburizing
- Preheating prior to forging
- Preheating moulds
- Preheating castings
- Thermal processing of metallic materials under a partially protective atmosphere
- Material testing
- Glass fusing
- Sintering – partially suitable
- Enamel firing – partially suitable
- Incineration, combustion and annealing loss – partially suitable
- Melting metal materials – partially suitable
Typical industries
- Toolmaking
- Heat treatment shops
- Metalworking workshops
- Mechanical engineering
- Maintenance and repair operations
- Testing laboratories
- Small-batch industrial production
Main benefits
- Suitable for smaller manually loaded charges
- Faster heat-up compared with larger chamber furnaces
- Heating from three sides supports uniform heat distribution
- Compact design for workshops and smaller production areas
- Configurable for temperature uniformity, cooling or protective atmosphere applications
For larger, heavier or more intensive industrial workloads, consider the PK chamber furnace up to 1280 °C.
PKE or PK furnace?
Optional accessories available at additional cost
- Protective atmosphere supply (cannot be produced in the semi-gastight option)
- Optimisation of the temperature field for compliance with DIN 17052-1 ΔT 20 °C in the internal usable space (in an empty furnace at Tmax, a grommet for thermocouple is required)
- Measurement protocol for temperature uniformity (a grommet is needed for the TUS test)
- Three-channel digital temperature recorder
- Measuring loop calibration
- EIA-485 or LAN interfaces
- HtMonit EV set (contains software + interface)
- Metal plate for the bottom (only up to temperatures of 1,000 °C)
- Non-controlled overpressure forced cooling (only with the HT 205 controller, only for furnaces PKE 25 and PKE 45, cannot be combined with hardening table)
- Controlled overpressure forced cooling (only with the HT 205 controller, only for furnaces PKE 25 and PKE 45, cannot be combined with hardening table)
- Ejector with exhaust fan and draw interrupter for drawing flue gases away (we do not recommend combining this with a protective atmosphere intake)
- Grommet for TUS test measuring thermocouples
