The SRC furnace combines a top-loading pit furnace design with a gastight retort and forced circulation of the protective atmosphere. The charge is suspended inside the retort and loaded from above, typically by crane. This makes the furnace suitable for bulky or heavy parts that cannot be handled comfortably in a standard chamber furnace.

Important loading note:
The charge must not be placed directly on the retort bottom. The retort contains an internal collar intended for suspending the charge or charge fixture. When selecting the usable height, the height of the suspension fixture must also be considered.
